Incredible tale of marathon fraud

A quite incredible story has emerged of a man who finished second in a marathon in Kenya.

Julius Njogu reportedly hid among a group of spectators before joining the Nairobi International Marathon near the finish.

Marathon 'runner' caught outMarathon organisers became suspicious as Njogu showed no signs of fatigue and was not sweating when he had supposedly just run 26 miles. In fact, investigations found he had run barely half a mile.

He was in line to pick up ?4,570 in second place prize money.
