‘Snowboarding’ on a scooter

A new hybrid-bike scooter promises to give riders ‘the sensation of skiing or snowboarding without leaving the ground’.

The ‘Sbyke’ is a US-designed machine that allows riders to steer it using their bodyweight.

It features unique rear steer technology, a hand-brake for control and the stability of a wide hardwood maple deck which allows for side-by-side foot placement.

Clearly time will tell whether this next step in scooter evoution will truly take off but the product has now hit UK shores so expect to be dodging runaway kids on them soon.
